Kmart required a refresh to celebrate their Easter Campaign. The gifting landing pages would need to be infused with the Easter theme, designed by the above the line agency, over a 2 week period during the soft launch of apparel. We recommended how this these could be carried out throughout the website during the Easter period for phase 1, 2 and 3 of the campaign.

The challenge

When we think of Easter, we might think of egg hunts and big chocolate easter bunnies! A big challenge for this project was staying true to Kmart values of easy to find and vast range without selling chocolates online. We had to be very careful of managing our customer expectations when displaying chocolate online as they would only be featured to browse and not purchase.

My role

My role was to look for opportunities to showcase the seasonal Easter products as well as what other products and activities customers might enjoy during this time of year. Research showed that Kmart families spent time at home during this time, so it was all about keeping the kids busy during the holidays and entertaining friends and family in the home. This project was overseen by an art director and I was responsible for leading a junior designer for the roll out for this campaign. As we were working on site, I liaised directly with the client daily to deliver the design.

The outcome

We created a great place for our users to browse and shop over their Easter break that integrated seamlessly with the above the line agencies TVCs as well as catalogue and press creative.
